Follow-up visits
Follow-ups that the system offers, priced by your rules.
A patient who came recently should not pay full price, or fight the booking form, to come back. MedOS knows who is eligible and offers the follow-up to them and to the desk.
Most practices have a follow-up policy and no way to apply it. It lives in the practitioner’s head, the desk guesses, and the patient is either overcharged or given a discount they were not due. In MedOS, Follow-up is a visit type with rules behind it: a validity window after the previous consultation with the same practitioner, a fee that is free, fixed, or a percentage off the consultation fee, a duration that can differ from a normal slot, and a maximum number of follow-ups per visit. Policies are set per practitioner, with a location policy as the fallback.
When a patient books on their own phone and the rules make them eligible, the booking flow shows the follow-up option with the clinic’s own wording. When the desk books, the same eligibility applies, and staff can be allowed to book a follow-up without a parent visit when the practice wants that flexibility. A follow-up can also be funded by a session pack. Every follow-up is a visit on the same record, with the same reminders as any appointment.
What you get
- Eligibility, not memory

- Patient and staff facing
