Integration guide
Clinic payment QR setup guide
Display the clinic’s own payment QR during booking and keep the visit payment status on the patient record. Staff verify receipt; MedOS does not verify a QR scan.
How clinic QR payments work
MedOS can display the clinic’s own payment QR during the patient payment step. Patients scan it with a compatible payment app or bank service. UPI IDs and UPI QR payments are available only where supported by local providers, including India. This is a QR payment workflow, not an automatic bank or payment-gateway integration.
After scanning and paying in their own app, the patient can indicate they have paid. The appointment remains pending until clinic staff independently confirm that the funds reached the clinic and mark the visit paid in MedOS.
Before you start
- A current payment QR image or UPI ID that belongs to the clinic.
- A payment app or bank service supported by the patient’s and clinic’s country and payment provider.
- An administrator who can update payment settings in MedOS.
- A front-desk process for checking the clinic’s payment account and confirming payments.
Add or update the clinic QR
- Open the payment settings in MedOS.
- Add the clinic’s QR image or enter its UPI ID, as available in the workspace settings.
- Save the change and preview the patient payment step to confirm the correct payment details are displayed.
- If replacing an old QR, verify the new one from a patient device before directing patients to use it.
Verify a payment at the front desk
- Open the appointment or patient record and confirm which payment method the patient selected.
- Check the clinic’s own bank or payment app for the matching received transaction.
- Only after confirming receipt, mark the visit paid in MedOS.
- If the transaction cannot be found, leave the visit pending and follow the clinic’s normal payment-resolution process.
A patient tapping “I’ve paid” or showing a payment screen is not proof that the funds settled. Verify receipt in the clinic’s own payment account before marking the visit paid.
Troubleshooting
- If the QR is missing, confirm a payment QR or UPI ID is saved in the workspace payment settings.
- If patients report that the QR points to the wrong account, pause use of the old image, update the setting and test the replacement.
- If a patient says they paid but the clinic cannot find the transaction, keep the visit pending while the clinic checks its payment account.
Changing or removing the QR
Replace or clear the payment QR from the same payment settings area. Check any open bookings that may still show the previous payment details, and tell staff which account to verify before they mark a payment complete.
