Integration guide

Razorpay integration guide for clinics

Let patients pay online during booking through the clinic’s Razorpay account. This guide covers the connection, supported methods and how to verify a payment in MedOS.

What the Razorpay integration does

Where the clinic’s Razorpay account and country are supported, MedOS can offer online payment through Razorpay during appointment booking. Available payment methods depend on the clinic’s Razorpay account and may vary by location. Razorpay confirms successful payments, and funds settle to the clinic’s connected account; MedOS does not hold the payment funds.

Razorpay’s fees and account terms are set by Razorpay. Clinic QR payments are a separate workflow and require staff verification.

Before you start

  • A MedOS administrator who can manage payment integrations.
  • A Razorpay account belonging to the clinic, with access to authorize its use.
  • A Razorpay account eligible for the clinic’s country, plus the clinic’s payment policy and appointment fees to review in a test booking.

Connect Razorpay

  1. In MedOS, open the workspace payment or integration settings and choose Razorpay if it is available for your workspace.
  2. Follow the secure on-screen steps to connect the clinic’s Razorpay account.
  3. Confirm the connected account in MedOS before enabling online payment for patients.
  4. Complete a test booking and verify that the payment option and amount shown to the patient match the clinic’s intended fee.

Setup steps and menu labels can vary by workspace; contact MedOS support if Razorpay is not listed. Do not send account passwords or secret credentials to support. Use the secure authorization flow provided in MedOS and Razorpay.

What happens when a patient pays

  • The patient selects online payment during booking and completes checkout through Razorpay.
  • Razorpay reports the payment result to MedOS; successful payments are recorded against the appointment.
  • The clinic reviews the payment and settlement in its Razorpay account.
  • A clinic payment QR does not use this gateway confirmation and remains pending until staff verify receipt.

Troubleshooting

  • If Razorpay is not offered, check that the clinic’s account is connected and online payment is available for the booking setup.
  • If a payment is pending or unsuccessful, check its status in Razorpay before asking the patient to try again.
  • If the payment succeeded but MedOS does not show it, keep the Razorpay payment reference and contact support; do not mark it paid twice.

Disconnecting

Remove or replace the Razorpay connection from the workspace payment or integration settings. Before disconnecting, review pending payments and upcoming bookings that use online payment. For settlement, refunds or gateway account issues, use the clinic’s Razorpay account and support channels.
